The Constance Milstein and Family Global Academic Center, located at 1307 L Street, NW, provides a home-away-from-home for faculty and researchers traveling to Washington, and as a gathering space for our many alumni in the capital area. It also serves as a venue for dynamic public programming, featuring NYU faculty and leaders from the government, business, and cultural worlds. The building includes state-of-the-art seminar rooms, student apartments, faculty offices and residential space, research space, and a 121-seat auditorium.
The facility was designed for NYU by Hickok Cole Architects; the general contractor was the Sigal Corporation. Construction of the building commenced in December 2010 and dedicated September 24, 2012. The Center has LEED Gold Certification status.
The Constance Milstein and Family Global Academic Center has a number of versatile and diverse spaces which are available to NYU departments, schools, students, faculty and NYU affiliates for meetings and events related to NYU's educational purposes.
NYU Students, Clubs, and Departments
NYU-affiliated students, groups, and departments can request space reservations via the inquiry form. Requests do not guarantee space, and are reviewed by NYU Washington, DC for approval.
Organizations not affiliated with the University may request space for events open to the NYU community that further NYU's academic mission and are sponsored by an NYU department or school. Organizations must provide proof of comprehensive liability insurance in the amount of $2 million per occurrence and $4 million in general aggregate.
